Wanderlust Wednesday // Cape Cod & Nantucket

I’m definitely not an expert on the area, but I wanted to share a couple highlights from my getaway
to Cape Cod and Nantucket. We did a lot of planning to make sure we could pack a lot into the long weekend and I’d say we were pretty successful! Below are some of the best things we did on our trip.

Strolling ‘Sconset

We took the high speed ferry to Nantucket and immediately headed to the quiet area of ‘Sconset, on the eastern end of the island. We spent time on the gorgeous beach and loved watching the seals swim by. After getting some sun, we headed to the ‘Sconset bluff walk, something I had read so many rave reviews of. The walk takes you through backyards of homes and along a cliff overlooking the ocean. It offered breathtaking views of the water and it was really cool to get so close to the gorgeous homes and gardens. After our walk we headed to The Summer House for lobster rolls, which are not to be missed!

Dinner in Provincetown
Located on the tip of Cape Cod, P-town is a colorful, lively area known as a vacation destination for the LGBTQ community. There are tons of little art galleries, boutiques, bustling restaurants and fun bars lining the town’s main thoroughfare, Commercial St. I wore this neon shift dress paired with a navy and white embellished clutch for a night out in P-town. We spent the evening wandering around, popping into shops and admiring artwork in galleries. We grabbed dinner and cocktails at The Patio, an adorable restaurant with a huge outdoor area, perfect for people watching.

Sunset at Galley Beach
It is no secret that Galley Beach is the best place to catch the sunset on Nantucket. After shopping around the town center we headed to the beach bar at Galley Beach to settle in, grab some cocktails and wait for the ‘show.’ The setting of Galley Beach is stunning. It’s a gorgeous restaurant with tables and lounge areas in the sand, so close to the water’s edge. Watching the sun go down from this spot made it the perfect ending to a great day!
